Look out! A dynamic team of four RDI’ers, Andy McCarthy, Matt Dowd, Jeremiah Peddersen, and Kelvin Bruns, took part in The Scurry, and it was a sight to behold! In addition to the team competition, RDI proudly supported the event as a Gold-level sponsor and helped raise over $88,000 for mental health awareness.
Our group of four participated in the 3-hour Scurry Team Competition, which combines the excitement of a scavenger hunt with the thrill of a race. While our team may not have claimed victory, they showcased remarkable spirit and camaraderie. It was evident that Andy McCarthy stole the show with his exceptional singing talent, carrying the team with his voice as it seemed the others could have only been assuming the role of backup singers.
TiER1 Performance produces this annual fundraising event to foster collaboration between local businesses and community members to ignite mental health awareness. Since its establishment in 2010, The Scurry has raised over $300,000 for local mental health initiatives. This year, the event benefited three local organizations in the Cincinnati-Covington area.
At RDI, we support mental health awareness in the community and prioritize it within our workplace. If you’re facing any challenges, our Culture Director, Engagement Manager, or our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) are here to provide support.
What a journey it has been! We are beyond thrilled to share that RDI has been named a finalist for the Adopt A Class Corporate Partner of the Year! This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team members who have gone above and beyond to make this first-year partnership a resounding success.
Adopt A Class partners with local businesses and schools to provide mentors for school-age children ranging from preschool to eighth grade. Our RDI team of mentors was paired with a class at Winton Hills Academy, and they had a blast creating unforgettable memories with the students throughout the year through monthly visits and educational activities.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing educators at Winton Hills Academy for their important work and for partnering with us on this journey. This recognition is well deserved, and we look forward to celebrating alongside our partners, knowing that together we have made a lasting difference in the lives of these students.
RDI Milford made a splash at the Frontier Days celebration this past weekend! This year’s theme was “Splash into Summer,” and we didn’t hold back. The event was filled with thrilling water gun fights, a fantastic RDI parade float, and many smiling faces.
Frontier Days has a rich history dating back to 1962 when the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce first gathered to support a canoe race on the Little Miami River. The event grew into a beloved tradition, and the community began flocking to the finish line with grills, coolers, and delicious food and drinks for the canoeists. Over the years, Frontier Days expanded to include carnival rides, games, live entertainment, and more. Although the canoe race is no longer a part of the festivities, the festival has persevered and continues to bring joy to the community.
Frontier Days continues to capture the essence of community, bringing people together to celebrate the joys of summer. We are proud to have been a part of this cherished event and to contribute to the ongoing legacy of Frontier Days. Check out the video above to see our team enjoying the festivities!
