Buckle up and prepare to laugh with the very first RDI Reacts! In this segment, we bring you the unfiltered and genuine reactions of Kelcie Best, our VP of Operations (East), and Kevin Kinebrew, our Junior Digital Marketing Specialist, as they dive into your Happy or Not messages from the past six months 💬
Yes, you heard it right – we’ve combed through your actual Happy or Not messages and are excited to bring you a candid glimpse of our team’s reactions. From hilarious comments about office temperatures to early morning positivity (seriously, major kudos to those of you who are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 7 AM), and even the age-old debate of who makes the best Batman – this video is full of laughs and opinions.
As we continue the RDI Reacts journey, only one question remains: what should we react to next? Please send us any ideas you may have, and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us to react to next! 👀
It’s been a fun-filled week across all our sites, and our Adopt A Class mentors brought that same energy to Winton Hills! 🦃
Our fantastic team, including our Director of Leadership, Chris Griffin (who graciously donated some time as the big turkey himself), brought Thanksgiving-themed festivities to our 3rd-grade class. This visit was a bright spot in our week, as there is no better way to celebrate the season of thanks than by giving back.
We are so proud to be part of a team that prioritizes community and actively contributes to making a meaningful impact. A round of applause for our dedicated mentors and the beautiful moments they create for this class! 👏
The Tortilla Challenge held its seventh showdown hosted by the Milford Machine!
The contenders for today’s match were Larry Schoenberger and Carl Wicker, both representing the DOW team. We’ll admit the slap energy was initially subdued as the match got off to a slower start. However, as the tortillas started flying, the energy in the room and on the arena floor picked up. Larry and Carl must have been saving the best for last because the intensity of the slaps escalated, and the competition became more spirited. Who doesn’t love a good slow burn?
Despite the absence of a spit take (a rarity in Tortilla Challenge history), the victory went to Larry Schoenberger, who delivered an impressive number of slaps, securing his well-deserved win. The seventh match proved once again that in the unpredictable world of the Tortilla Challenge, every showdown brings its own surprises. Congratulations again to Larry, and stay tuned for the next match!

It’s back! In our latest On The Spot, we had the pleasure of featuring not one but two Nippers!
If you’re a Tortilla Challenge enthusiast, you might recognize the name Nipper as James Walsh, the ITCSFO referee, is on a mission to settle some beef with Melanie “The Bad Morally Grey” Nipper. But anyway, we digress. In this episode, we get to learn more about each of the Nipper sisters, and despite what most people think, not all sisters are alike!
From video games to music to views about the right time to start listening to holiday music, these sisters have opinions. We won’t give everything away, so be sure to check out the whole video for the scoop! And if you do stick around until the end, you might just get a sneak peek into RDI’s super-secret tribunal. We’re still waiting for our invite, by the way! 🎉
Hold on to your tortillas, folks! We’re diving headfirst into the sixth match of the Tortilla Challenge, hosted once again by the gracious team at Latonia!
Now, this round brings a touch of scandal, a sprinkle of drama if you will, as it’s the first face-off between a direct report and their supervisor. Cue the gasps and the dramatic music! In the one corner, we have the formidable Latanya Speed, and in the opposite corner, the impressive Alexis Tester.
The match kicked off with a bang as Alexis delivered a near-perfect slap that had everyone questioning if she moonlights as a tortilla slap master in her spare time. But hold up – Latanya wasn’t one to be outdone. She came right back with a slap that could be felt through the screen, leaving even our referee in a state of shock. It seemed like we were in for an epic showdown between two titans, but, oh boy, things took a turn. Laughter, slaps, and water-spitting ensued, turning this match into delightful chaos.
In the end, Alexis emerged as the champion of this round! A big shoutout to both competitors for bringing the fun, and we’re already feeling sorry for whoever has to face Alexis in the next showdown. May the tortillas keep flying, and may we all stay slappy! 🌮✨

🎩 Hats off to everyone who dressed up and entered the costume contest! 🎩
There were so many amazing costumes, but unfortunately, there can only be one winner. It’s with great pleasure that we announce the costume with the most votes belongs to… Brandy Judd from True Blue!
Brandy wowed us all with her spot-on portrayal of the iconic character, Peggy Bundy, from the classic TV show “Married with Children.” Her costume was nothing short of phenomenal, capturing all those details that make Peggy Bundy so memorable – from the bouffant hairdo down to the leopard print. Brandy’s costume, complete with Peggy’s signature attitude (how did she capture that so well in a photo 😂), truly brought the character to life. Congrats again, Brandy!
As a well-deserved reward, Brandy will be taking home the prize of a $100 gift card, AND her costume will be immortalized as a coloring page in an upcoming issue of The Winning Times (be sure to stay tuned so you don’t miss out)! Again, a big round of applause for Brandy and everyone who participated – we can’t wait to see what everyone has in store for next year!
(As a brief note, there was a slight issue with the contest voting due to overlapping IP addresses; this will no longer be an issue for future contests! For all those who made your ELL Well manager aware, THANK YOU!)
If you’re just now tuning in to the Tortilla Challenge, welcome to our fifth match hosted by Latonia! 🐎
In one corner of the ring stood the formidable Tim Rogers, Site Director, and in the other, the tenacious Julie Owens, a seasoned PM. Before the tortilla-slapping action commenced, our spirited referee, James Walsh, delivered his customary pre-match banter. (For those here solely for the slaps, feel free to fast-forward to the two-minute mark 😉) This match had it all, from A+ slaps to that perfect, stereotypical spit that’s become a hallmark of the Tortilla Challenge.
After a grueling exchange of slaps, the dust settled, and a victor emerged from the intense battle. Julie Owens was declared the winner and has earned the honor of moving on to the next round. For the full play-by-play of this thrilling match, be sure to check out the full video.
The Tortilla Challenge, like a fierce round in Street Fighter, continues to provide excitement, surprises, and unforgettable moments with each new match. Stay tuned for the next thrilling showdown!

We’ve got a delicious, cozy chicken chili recipe to share that’s not only easy to make but it won’t break the bank. This chili is perfect for warming up on chilly evenings, with a delightful mix of tender chicken, spices, corn, and beans. Follow the recipe below and make it for yourself!
Ingredients:
1 white onion, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 3⁄4 cups Chicken Broth
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried Oregano
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 dash of hot sauce
1 pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
2 cans (15 oz.) white chili beans, undrained
1 package (10 oz.) Corn
3 tablespoons lime juice
1⁄4 cup fresh cilantro, stemmed
3-5 pickled jalapeno slices
Instructions:
Step 1: In a slow cooker, mix together the onion, peppers, garlic, broth, cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, and sauce. Add the chicken and the beans.

Step 3: Using two forks, shred the chicken into pieces. Return it to the slow cooker and stir in the corn and lime juice. Cover and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the beans and corn are hot.
Step 4: Top with fresh cilantro, add a few pickled jalapeno slices for extra zing, and serve immediately.
We’re back for another year of partnering with Adopt A Class!
This school year, we are working with an enthusiastic 3rd-grade class at Winton Hills. Our first visit was a smashing success, and our team was greeted by a rather excited group—credit to their teacher for creating such a welcoming visit. We’re eagerly looking forward to our next visit later this month and to taking part in the growth and learning journey that awaits these students. Stay tuned to see where this partnership goes!
In the ongoing Tortilla Challenge battles, our latest match showcases a speedy and epic face-off. It was a showdown of the “J’s” – Justin Clark, a formidable supervisor, took on the training extraordinaire, Joshua Harris. Held once more at the spirited venue of Milford, this match promised to be unforgettable and it delivered!
While previous rounds had their fair share of surprises, this match marked a historic first for the competition – a spit-win. So far in this tournament, we have had to resort to crowning the winner as the person who slapped the most, but this time, our winner was able to get their opponent to spit their water THREE times (that’s impressive!) We don’t know what his secret was; perhaps it was the shock of his unique tortilla-slapping technique or just some giggles, but someone indeed needed a towel by the end.
As for the official victor of this round, well, you’ll have to watch the video to see who emerged triumphant. Stay tuned for the next Tortilla Challenge and whatever surprising twist awaits!
